1. They paint or stamp wax in the shapes of the tiny flowers/lines.
2. The whole bolt is dipped or brushed with the background color.
3. Fabric is steamed or boiled → wax melts away → the motifs turn white again.
4. Now the artisans hand-paint inside the white motifs using dyes or pigments.
